Soren DeNiz (they/he) is a multi-disciplinary artist and designer. They are based in Pittsburgh, PA, where they were born and raised by their Mexican parents. Soren prides themself in their Latinx heritage and their queer identity, and often those perspectives show up as themes in Soren's work.
Soren's core vision when they create is communication through the arts. They strive to positively impact their community, whether through geography or identity, by designing creative solutions that are inclusive and accessible. Through their design, they aim to take into account environmental sustainability, expand accessibility in the arts through creative opportunities, and enable connection through community.
While growing their professional career, Soren has both found and created opportunities to always push themself and grow their creative process. Recently, that has included being commissioned to write music for WYEP & WESA, providing translation and blog writing services to the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council, and supporting fellow performance artists through their audio storytelling company, Glass Fox Productions.
